Immediate management shakeup at Plastopil Hazorea: Outgoing CFO finishes his tenure and replacement steps in weeks ahead of schedule
Flexible film manufacturer Plastopil Hazorea announced a sudden change in its financial leadership. CFO Nir Noy completed his tenure immediately after a short stint, and his replacement, Avishay Yaish, was brought in about three weeks early.
Plastopil Hazorea reported the immediate termination of CFO Nir Noy's tenure on October 11, after just half a year in the role. At the same time, the company moved forward the start date of his replacement, Avishay Yaish, who was promoted from company controller and was originally scheduled to begin his term only on November 1.
Plastopil Hazorea, which produces and markets flexible plastic films, executed a sudden and immediate change in its financial management leadership. In two amending filings published by the company on October 11, 2026, it announced the accelerated departure of outgoing CFO Nir Noy and the accelerated start date of his replacement, Avishay Yaish.
According to the first filing (Reference 2026-01-091856), Nir Noy's tenure as CFO concluded on that same day, October 11, 2026. This contradicts the original filing from late September, which stated that Noy would step down only on October 31. Noy served for an exceptionally short period of just over six months, having assumed the role on April 1, 2026. The company noted that the departure "does not involve circumstances that should be brought to the attention of the corporation's securities holders," but provided no explanation for moving up the departure date.
Simultaneously, in a separate amending filing (Reference 2026-01-091858), Plastopil announced that Avishay Yaish, appointed to replace Noy, will begin his tenure as the new CFO immediately, effective October 11. In this case as well, this represents a significant acceleration, since according to the original filing regarding his appointment, Yaish was supposed to take office only on November 1, 2026. This means that the handover period between the two, if any was planned, was shortened or canceled, and the replacement was effectively carried out overnight.
Avishay Yaish (43) is not a newcomer to the company. According to the filing, he was promoted to the CFO position from his role as company controller. Yaish holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo. Before joining Plastopil, he served as a manager in the financial cluster at the accounting firm Kost Forer Gabbay & Kasierer (EY) between 2015 and 2021. The appointment of an internal candidate who knows the company's financial operations closely may indicate a desire to ensure stability and continuity despite the sudden change.
The decision to accelerate the leadership transition, executed through two coordinated amending filings, raises questions regarding the circumstances that led to the move. While the company maintains ambiguity regarding the reason for the acceleration, the very fact of the dual, immediate filing points to a decisive management choice to execute the change without delay.
