Strategic move at Trucknet: Changes name to Picka Tech and targets small contractors; Issta Properties secures ₪223 million financing for logistics center

Trucknet, now Picka Tech, launches a new subscription model for small haulage contractors in Israel and Romania. Concurrently, Issta Properties secures a major financing agreement to construct a new logistics center, and Rekah rewards its new CEO.

Trucknet is changing its name to Picka Tech Global Enterprise and launching a strategic initiative targeting small haulage contractors via a monthly subscription model. Concurrently, Issta Properties announced the signing of a financial accompanying agreement totaling approximately ₪223.2 million to establish a logistics center in the Yoav Regional Council. Additionally, Rekah allocated 120,000 options to its new CEO, Dotan Buxweiler.

A wave of market reports reveals strategic moves across companies in various sectors, most notably Trucknet Enterprise, which announced a name change and business model shift. The company, to be named "Picka Tech Global Enterprise Ltd.", is transitioning to a monthly subscription-based model targeting small haulage contractors and single-truck owners, a move aimed at expanding its paying customer base.

According to the company's filing, the name change was approved by the Registrar of Companies and forms part of a broader strategic plan including expanding operations in Israel and Europe and increasing monetization of its technology. Importantly, the well-known technology brand TRUCKNET will continue to operate and serve the company's platforms and applications (filing 2026-01-087770).

The more significant move is the launch of the monthly payment model. In the first phase, the company will begin connecting small haulage contractors in Israel and Romania. In Romania alone, the company notes, approximately 300 companies and contractors use the system daily, though until now they were not required to pay a subscription fee. The new model will offer them, for a monthly fee, access to advanced management capabilities, including scheduling, driver and fleet management, shipment tracking, and digital invoicing. Hanan Friedman, CEO of the company, noted that the move is aimed at connecting the "small contractor" to a large network and providing digital tools to manage operations. According to him, "according to data from the International Road Transport Union (IRU), approximately 1.03 million road transport companies operate in the European Union, with about 89% of them employing fewer than 10 workers," pointing to vast market potential.

Issta Properties secures ₪223 million financing

Concurrently, in the income-producing real estate sector, Issta Properties reported a significant step in advancing one of its flagship projects. Its subsidiary, Issta Logistics Centers, entered into a financial accompanying agreement with a banking institution for the construction of a logistics center in the Yoav Regional Council (filing 2026-01-087854).

The total credit facility will stand at approximately ₪223.2 million. This amount will be used both to fund project construction (up to ₪160 million) and to finance the land component, which stood at approximately ₪63.2 million. Under the agreement, the final credit maturity date is set for December 31, 2027, carrying an annual interest rate ranging between Prime minus 0.1% and Prime minus 0.3%. To secure the loan, Issta Properties provided a guarantee for the subsidiary's obligations, alongside liens on its rights in the project and real estate. The agreement includes customary covenants, including compliance with execution milestones and entering into lease agreements.
